History

With a history of excellence as a technology-leader since 1887, HaslerRail is the most widespread supplier for on-board electronic products and off-board supporting solutions. The company offers a complete range of smart and innovative data acquisition, management, storage and analysis solutions, developed to the most recent standards and technology. In April 2016 Sécheron Hasler Group acquired a 60% majority share in SAIRA Electronics, based in Verona, Italy. SAIRA Electronics, a pioneer in energy metering systems has already sold and installed thousands of its Energy Management Suite TEMS, supporting customers with invoicing and economical driving.

Products

HaslerRail is already well known for its speed sensors, data acquisition and recording systems. The company is now moving into the areas of fleet and energy management. HaslerRail and SAIRA Electronics offer a wide range of communication solutions, allowing wireless data transmission to a server and remote access to the current vehicle data, whether used for fleet and risk management, tracking of maintenance or driver performance.

The newly developed Hasler® EVA+ data management and evaluation software allows combined ETCS and national data evaluation, voice and front/rear view data evaluation, GPS tracking, data comparison and much more in one web-based user friendly software.

Both HaslerRail and SAIRA are chosen as the preferred partner for new vehicles by system integrators, for modernization projects of individual vehicles or entire fleet upgrade programs.

Great Britain in last 10 years without train accident fatalities

On February 23, the industry marked 10 years since the last passenger or staff fatality in a train accident on Great Britain’s national rail network.

China to begin construction of 35 railway projects

China Railway Corporation (CRC) will begin the construction of 35 new railway projects this year, state-run news agency Xinhua has reported. Construction is due to begin on 2,100km of new rail lines, 2,500km of double-track lines and 4,000km of electrified railway, Xinhua said, citing government officials who spoke to Economic Information Daily.
